What a great weekend!

It started off on Friday afternoon after work. Ah…time for some rest and relaxation…or at least I thought. My goal was to wake up Saturday and go for an 11 mile run. That didn’t happen. Lisa was up early working on baking cakes and stuff. Ava was really bothering her and Lucianna wasn’t cooperating either. I ended up taking the girls to the mall and playing on the playground from about 9:45 am until 10:40 am. Then we had to run to Costco to pick up some milk, waffles, diapers and wipes. I ended up picking up some multi vitimins also.

I returned home and Lisa was in a lot better mood. I took a shower and relaxed after lunch and Ava took a nap. It was raining outside so I couldn’t run outside. The temperature was also falling into the mid 40s. Running 11 miles on the treadmill wasn’t an option.

Later that night Lisa planned my birthday dinner with a bunch of folks from work. It was a great success. We all met at Shogun at 6 pm and we had to squeeze into the room because we had such a great turn out! My aunt Deloris and uncle Kenny made it as did my cousins Shareen and Robert. What a great addition to the group!

After dinner we came back home and put the kids to bed sometime after 9 pm.

Ava’s party was on Sunday and Lisa had to finish her cake and do a bunch more stuff around the house to prepare. So I took the kids to church so she could finish the cake. We got home around 1230 pm. Lisa had finished the cake but we still needed to clean, vacuum, sweep, and mop. Eventually we finished that up before Ava’s party at 4pm. Whew!

Ava had tons of friends over and she was in a great mood! We all sang happy birthday and ate Lisa’s yummy cake. Everyone left shortly after 6 pm and we cleaned up pretty quickly. It was back to bathing and getting the kids ready for bed. Ava was pretty jazzed up after all the sugar but she was ready for bed by 8:30 pm.

Overall it was a great birthday to share with Ava. ( Our birthday was on Sunday. My day is celebrated either just before Ava’s or just after. No complaints. )

Thanks Lisa. I love you!
