Okay…last night Ava and I ran to the grocery store for two reasons. The main reason was to get her out of Lisa’s hair. The second reason was for me to pick up a few odds and ends such as cookies, kleenex with lotion for Lucianna (and mommy’s conscience), and a new flavor of coffee.<\/p>\n
So we took off to the store. Ava was very observant and pointed at the moon and a few stars. She’s pretty smart. Then she selected a blue car cart to drive around the store in. She had a great time. I did too. She’s pretty cute.<\/p>\n

I ended up getting Maxwell House French Roast. I wasn’t sure about it since I only had the chocolate velvet flavor. I was wondering what a “real” coffee would taste like…actually a little worried it would be just a tad shy of awful. The French Roast is a med-dark roast (whatever that means). I’m guessing the darker – the richer i.e. more bitter it is. I think of it like beer. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
So we returned home and did our normal goodnight routine. I didn’t need any coffee yesterday (the day we shopped) because I slept so good.<\/p>\n
This morning I left work a little early and hit the hay. I woke up shortly after 11 am and now it was time to try some of that Maxwell House. So I put in 3 heaping tablespoons (got it right now) and waited. Boy – it looked a lot darker than the choc velevet I was “used to”.\u00a0 I poured a mug and mixed some of the French Vanilla creamer Lisa got me, and tablespoon of sugar (just in case) and took a sip. Wow! It was sort of bitter. I had to think about if it tasted okay. Or was it too bitter? I had to take another sip. I ended up really liking it. I made a larger insulated cup with a lid because Ava and I were heading to the mall to get some energy out. I actually really like it. Not too bad afterall. I really surprised.<\/p>\n
Now I’m wired!! I drank about 5 cups. We’ll see how well it works tomorrow morning….and the next…etc. I start days on Thursday…so I’m still evaluating it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
